Nigerian comedian Koffi set to drop 12th studio album


Believe it or not, Nigerian comedian, Koffi has announced plans to drop his 12th studio album titled ‘Ijinle: The 12th Commandment’ on June 12, 2016.
Already, he’s released the first single off the album ‘Ilu le‘.
The new album, which Koffi describes as a retro album, is a 12-tracker with songs likeEniyan LasanNothing Dey DereRuweAriyaMohuru and it also features a remake of a song done back in the days by the legendary Victor Olaiya.
According to Koffi, ‘This album is a reprise from an old highlife song done by the great Victor Olaiya, I am bringing in some freshness into it while using the song to paint a perfect picture of the hard­ship and tough times people are facing right now across the nation. Ijinle is a thorough expression of my ability to deliver melodious songs in my native Yoruba language with a modern twinge and powerful lyrics’.
Koffi’s last album, ‘Metamorpho’, has songs like ‘Jabele‘, ‘Pen Ati Paper‘, and ‘Jam 4 Me‘ among others.
