Rihanna Breaks Beatles’ Billboard Hot 100 Record with ‘Work’

The Rihanna Navy is in town for business!
Rihanna’s smash hit single “Work” is in its ninth week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and this has landed her the coveted position of an overall 60 weeks at number one with 14 songs edging her over the Beatles who have a total 59 weeks.
The singer now comes second only to Mariah Craery who currently rules at number 1 as the all-time chart topper with 79 weeks.
Recall, that last week, Riri took to social media to announce her tie with the Beatles saying “God stays blowing my mind” in a thank-you message to her fans.
Rihanna and Mariah Carey’s singles that made it to number 1 featured other artistes like T.I’s “Live Your Life”, which  featured the Bajan beauty and spent six weeks at number one in 2008 as well as Mariah’s duet with Boyz II Men, “One Sweet Day,”spent 16 weeks at number one in 1995 and 1996, and her most successful solo single, “We Belong Together” which spent 14 weeks as a Billboard Hot 100 number one in 2005.
The Beatles’ singles that made it to the peak of the chart however, did not have any featured artistes.
Congratulations Riri, slay on!
