Last night at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held in Accra, Ghana last night, Wizkid won the African Artiste of the Year, beating his counterparts in the continent.
“I want to say a big thank you to my fans, you guys made it,” the singer said, before extending shout-outs to his producer Legendury Beatz who he credited with making the smash hit single, ‘Ojuelegba.’
Same night, Wizkid announced the launch of his first international record label, Star Boy Worldwide Music label and also revealed his first artistes which includes Ghana’s Efya, R2Bees(made up of Faisal Hakeem and Rashid Mugeez), Mr Eazi and himself.
“Starboy worldwide, the new Africa,” he hollered on Twitter, before informing that the new president of the record label is Omar Sterling.
“We are planning to take over Africa,” he told the audience at the event.
